The journey from Fes to the edge of the Sahara felt less like a drive and more like a slow unfolding of landscapes—each one more unexpected than the last. We had one more delicious breakfast at Riad Dar Bensouda and set off early, leaving behind the maze of the medina with the help of the hotel porter (check out the video and see how lost we would have been without him!) and climbing into the cool air of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop was Ifrane, a place so surprising it hardly felt like Morocco at all. With its alpine architecture, and crisp mountain air, it resembled a European ski town.

Our girls trip adventure to Morocco started on a red-eye overnight flight to Casablanca! We were picked up from the airport by our (now friend!) Youssef! We then headed on to see the sights! Follow along on my travel photography blog.

Emily came for her newborn photography swaddle session. We did a bunch of different wrapped set ups! We used a gorgeous white flokati rug from Luneberry, a lovely tiny bed from DIH-Photography Props, and a ton of sweep accessories like bows, wraps and layers. We then had her big brother come for a couple of sibling shots, with a very special momento included in those images. Big brother also wanted a photo with his panda, so we happily obliged :) It’s so fun to capture their sweet preferences at every stage of life!

I met with this gorgeous couple for their maternity session outside of St. John’s, NL, near Manuel’s River. What a beautiful spot, and a lovely night we had.
