Myles’ Newborn Session, 13 days Old

There’s something extra special about photographing a baby who’s just days old, and Myles’ newborn session was one of those heart-melting ones from start to finish. At just 13 days old, he was the sweetest little guy and an absolute dream to photograph.

Myles has the most beautiful red hair — the kind that already makes you stop and say wow — and it added so much warmth and personality to his photos. We started with baby-only images, keeping things simple and timeless. The blue backdrop was such a lovely contrast to his hair and skin tone, creating calm, peaceful images that really highlight how tiny he still is. We also used a wooden floor backdrop, with a tiny bed and handmade quilt, which added a cozy, natural feel and a bit of texture to his gallery.

Once Myles was nice and settled, we brought in the rest of the family. Family photos were done on a clean white backdrop, keeping the focus right where it belongs — on the connection between mom, dad, and their sweet new addition. There’s something so classic about white that never goes out of style, and it worked beautifully for these moments.

One of the highlights of the session was definitely photographing Myles with his big sister. Sibling photos were taken on a soft cream rug, which created a warm and gentle setting for those sweet interactions. Big sister did an amazing job and clearly already adores her baby brother — the kind of bond that parents will treasure forever.
